Looking for Nature’s Biotics? It Is Now Body Biotics

Nature's Biotics     Body Biotics

If you remember Nature’s Biotics, the soil-based probiotic I began offering through Upward Quest in 1997, you have found the right place. It is now sold as Body Biotics.

Although the name on the bottle changed, the original natural formula was preserved.

A Familiar Formula With a Different Name

When I first began selling this product, probiotics were far less familiar than they are today. Many people had never heard the term “soil-based organisms,” or SBOs.

What interested me was its origin: a naturally occurring community of organisms found functioning cooperatively together in nature.

Over the years, the product’s name and packaging changed. Some organisms also became known by updated scientific names as their classification changed. Those terminology updates did not mean the original formula had been replaced.

What Makes This Formula Distinctive?

The formula contains a community of eight organisms. The manufacturer calls this cooperative community a consortia.

These organisms were found together in nature, already functioning as a community. They were not individually selected and assembled into a new combination.

They are cultured with a nutrient-rich medium containing humic and fulvic substances, minerals, micronutrients, and amino acids. This natural origin and cooperative community remain central to the product’s identity.

No Refrigeration Required

The formula includes spore-forming bacteria. Spores are dormant structures that help them withstand certain conditions that would be hard on the active bacterial cell. For example, being kept in a capsule in a bottle and then being swallowed by a person into a pool of stomach acid.  They literally go into a state of suspended animation protected by the hard surface of the spore around them.  When conditions are suitable, like when they reach the intestines, a spore can germinate and the bacterium can become active again.

The finished product requires no refrigeration, making storage straightforward at home or while traveling. Just keep the product in a cool, dry place.

My History With This Product

I began taking and selling Nature’s Biotics in 1997, and I still take and sell it today.

Some customers have stayed with me through the years. Others have returned after many years, remembering the affects they had from taking it and wondering whether the product is still available.

That is why I created this page: to help you recognize a familiar product under its current name and understand the natural history that makes it distinctive.
